About the event

Full Moon in Pisces:

Moon in Pisces has the greatest sensitivity and perceptiveness of surroundings. You can experience feelings of insecurity, be passive, and only wait and see what happens in your life. If you engage in the creative or spiritual search, you will benefit from a great imagination of Pisces.

Organs influenced by Pisces Moon Sign:

Organs: Feet, toes, hypophysis, pineal gland, endorphin, melatonin.

These organs are now more sensitive so provide them with extra care.

Surgical operations:

Surgical operations are strongly not recommended during the Full Moon!

A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Virgo forms an opposition to the Moon in Pisces. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of what we started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.

This lunation occurs along the Virgo-Pisces polarity, which is the service axis. This axis deals with the balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces).

Virgo rules our personal set of tools and techniques that we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools that we use to deal with our spirituality.

The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives.

Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire–we would either be living in chaos or in excessive order.

The Moon is conjunct Saturn around the time of this Full Moon, suggesting a serious, sober look at our emotions. There may be a tough decision or choice, a reality check, or we may feel some pressure to make changes. Watch for fear-driven moves. Instead, aim to strengthen and safeguard.

August 30: Blue Moon

Later in the month, a second full Moon, a Blue Moon will make an appearance. The term Blue Moon is most commonly used when we have two full Moons in a single month. On Wednesday, August 30, the Full Moon will peak at  9:36 P.M.

August 30-31 Supermoon will be the closest, biggest, and brightest full supermoon of 2023. It’s exceptionally close in the Moon miles from Earth (222,043 miles). The next time we’ll have a closer full supermoon is November 5, 2025, when the moon lies 221,817 miles from Earth.

→ Consult our Moonrise and Moonset Calculator to see precisely when the Sturgeon Moon and the Blue Moon will be visible in your area!

Why Is It Called the Sturgeon Moon?

The full Moon names used by The Old Farmer’s Almanac come from a number of places, including Native American, Colonial American, and European sources. Traditionally, each full Moon name was applied to the entire lunar month in which it occurred, not solely to the full Moon.

The Sturgeon Moon

August’s full Moon was traditionally called the Sturgeon Moon because the giant sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this part of summer.

Is This a Private Event?

This event is open to any and everyone and is a beautiful opportunity to meet and make new genuine connections with others who are focused on their spiritual and self-development.

Do I Need To Bring Anything?

Nope, bringing yourself, wearing comfortable clothing, and getting a friend to participate with you are all we suggest.

What Happens During a New Moon Circle?

During a Full Moon Circle, we release negativity and answer hard questions about ourselves and our emotional and spiritual progress. These questions are given by our Full Moon guide, Judith Dazle, empath, intuitive, life coach, and owner of the Rock Collage. Your answers are journaled by you and only seen by you. After all the questions are answered, all participants burn their papers one by one and we have an emotional check-in and allow for an open discussion to occur for those who feel comfortable sharing.

All supplies will be provided for you.
