A powerful way to process and release intense emotions:

  1. Acknowledge the presence of the emotion rather than shutting it down: Ask yourself “What is the feeling I’m feeling? Where is it present in my body?” Notice it and allow it to be present, knowing that it will soon transform and leave.


  1. Channel the emotion into the physical form: Use your physical body with the intention to release your emotional body. Throw your arms around, jump, dance, breathe, cry, sing, yell, run, stretch - do whatever form of movement calls to you, with the intention of releasing that emotion through that movement.


  1. Don’t judge yourself: As you are doing this, don’t judge yourself for feeling this way or for the way you channel the emotions. This is a completely normal part of the human experience. Commend yourself for your intentions to process and release. Nurture and give love to yourself.
